At Fiume Santo power plant, EP Produzione is leading the way to provide the industrial site with an up-and-running future, with the goal of creating an “Energy Park” by deploying viable solutions for an increasingly sustainable and programmable energy supply. Indeed, in a single area, Fiume Santo Energy Park could integrate an energy mix based on new gas-fired combined-cycle units, the conversion of one of the two existing coal-fired units to biomass, an off-shorephotovoltaic plant, the installation of electrolyzers for green hydrogen production, and electrochemical battery storage facilities.

Considering at least 20-30 years of service life, these solutions could play a key role in the energy transition.
